TekTrap Systems Inc. is specialized in the development of innovative RF (Radio Frequency) technology addressing today's high level of security requirements.  As represented by its name, TekTrap stand for Technology for Trapping goods, articles or people.

The FM Tag technology is complementary to GPS. By using a ground-based network of FM broadcast towers instead of a network of GPS satellites, the FM Tag takes advantage of multiple stronger radio signals which:

a) Allow reception inside buildings, transport containers, briefcases, etc. since the FM Tag does not require direct line-of-sight to the sky.

b) Require much less battery power to record. The FM Tag operates on a watch-type battery.

c) Provide a unique spectrum fingerprint that is impossible to reproduce or fool. The fingerprint of the FM spectrum can potentially be used as evidence in a court of law.

As an implant, it could also be powered indefinitely via the use of a thermocouples embedded in any live stock.  The FM Tag, once the phase of miniaturization will be completed (which is about to start in Q4, 2007) will be smaller than a penny and once at a die level, could also be inserted in any ID card.

The technology has completed the alpha test successfully, in such; we are now searching for potential application to support a series of beta trial.
